Dear Parents,

 

                At our first PTA meeting, parents inquired about workshops in a variety of areas.  The main focus was on computer awareness and training.  Other areas requested were ESL and Creative Arts.  Our Adult Education Program, which will meet on Tuesday and Thursday (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM). Three programs will be offered. These classes are designed for parents who wish develop computer skills, become more proficient speakers of English and to enjoy the creative arts with their child.

The Program begins tonight, November 29th at

This class will focus on introducing parents to the world of computers.  You will learn to start-up and close down applications while exploring Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and the use of a browser to surf the internet.  More advanced applications will include Photoshop, Excel and Access.

 

 

This class will explore the world of crafts and the creative and industrial arts.  Crafts such as ceramics, painting and drawing.  Participants will learn to mold and turn clay to create projects that can be developed in holiday gifts.  Children should be at least 6 years old to participate in this program (with parent).

Parents will have the opportunity to enhance their literacy skills in the areas of speaking and writing speaking English.  The class is designed for limited or non- English speakers who want to build better skills with respect to speaking English.

Class is designed for both beginner and advanced adults
